When this site was online at Harvard, it logged visitors rather
aggressively, jotting down their ip addresses, visit times, pages
loaded, and (most terribly) the referring page*. Now, I swear this
functionality isn't there anymore, so don't worry -- I have no idea if
you're stalking me. The point of building this overpowered system was
learning from the process of building it, not collecting data on other
people, or counterstalking.
* Visitors from MIT regularly showed the following as the referring page:
"NoneOfYourBusiness!"

Humility
We begin with a list of the top 25 searches during the period 5/30/03 to 5/30/06. The first couple are for a good book mentioned in the art section, and the third is for the initials of Godel Escher Bach, another (wonderful) book from the art page. Those I don't mind so much. What bothers me is that my name is behind "people sleeping," "sleeping people," and "nudes." Also, searches for my name with and without a hyphen barely beat out two different spellings of "pigeon."
